The IPA, being the gateway to the successful Irish model of governance and economic development, has always worked in the international field in order to share knowledge, experiences and successful practices of the Irish public sector with countries or institutions engaged in reform agendas. Tailor-made training and consultancy services in Public Administration Reform, EU Affairs, Economic Development and Capacity-building have been provided in a variety of countries in Central and Eastern Europe, the Balkans and Sub-Saharan Africa.

Access to IPA specialists, Irish civil servants and associates ensure the highest quality when delivering training, study visits, capacity building and technical advice, both here and abroad.

The International Services Unit offers the following course:

  • Preparation Course to Competitions for European Institutions (Download Brochure here)
    This course is designed for those applying for positions at the EU Institutions at administrator grade levels or those applying for higher grades who wish to update their knowledge of EU affairs.  The course provides comprehensive training on how to prepare for the written and oral tests, including the pre-selection test.
