- Who is this for?
This workshop will be of interest to Board Members and senior employees who have a role in ensuring compliance with the legislation and/or awareness raising on the legislation within the organisation. It will also be of interest to those persons nominated as recipients of protected disclosures.
- Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this workshop, participants will have:
- A familiarity with and understanding of the Protected Disclosures regime (as informed by the Protected Disclosures Act 2014 and the Protected Disclosures (Amendment) Act 2022 and guidance in the area).
- An understanding of how the internal reporting channels and procedures should operate in an organisation.
- An understanding of the role and responsibilities of the recipient of protected disclosures.

The Whistleblowing and the Protected Disclosures Act 2014 workshop will cover the following areas:-
- An overview of the legislation (the Protected Disclosures Act 2014 and the Protected Disclosures (Amendment) Act 2022) and guidance in the area.
- The procedures required to be in place in relation to protected disclosures.
- The role and responsibility of the recipient of protected disclosures and who should have that role.
- Other Information
The Whistleblowing and the Protected Disclosures Act 2014 workshop could be tailored to the specific needs of individual bodies and run in-house in organisations as required. Please contact training@ipa.ie for further information.
