The aim of this programme is to provide Clerical Officers with an opportunity to further develop the core competencies required so that they can contribute effectively in their role and support senior staff in achieving organisational goals. Participants will acquire insights, techniques, and tools to strengthen their confidence in dealing with a variety of situations. They will learn about their personal working and communication style and its impact on others and get practical tips on planning and organising work,  including working remotely.

Delivery Method

This Clerical Officer programme has been modified for online delivery.  The course will be delivered as two x two-hour modules over two days (10:00 am - 12:00 noon) each day.  It will be delivered remotely via MS Teams and facilitated by a subject matter expert.

Programme materials will be send to participants prior to the event to assist with early preparation and group/individual work

The Clerical Officer Programme is offered on the following dates:

Fee: The cost of this course is €320 per person.

Cancellation Policy: Please note, that in the event of a cancellation less than 48 working hours before the commencement of a course, a 15% cancellation fee will be charged.  Cancellation fee will also apply to non-arrivals on the day.

Who is this for?

This course is for Clerical Officers working in Government Departments, Offices and State Agencies.

Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of the Clerical Officer programme, participants will:

  • Have increased confidence in communicating effectively with individuals and teams

The Clerical Officer programme can be tailored to the specific requirements of a government department and delivered on an in-house basis at a negotiated rate. We will also deliver the programme where two or three departments come together to provide a minimum number of participants.
