  • The three-day course will provide an understanding of what Big Data is, how you can use it, and what benefits it will bring to your organisation.
  • It is a practical course and students will be guided through a number of hands-on exercises. This requires you to bring your laptop to the class pre-loaded with easy to access open source applications that will be used during class.
  • This practical introduction to Big Data and Data Analytics is based on the corresponding elective module on the IPA Diploma in Computer Studies (NUI Accredited) .
  • Lunch will be provided on scheduled course dates
  • The IPA is located next to the Lansdowne Road DART Station.  Limited parking is available on a first come first served basis.

Fee: The cost of this three-day course is €1,250 per person. The cost does not include the exam fee. This three-day course is based on the Big Data and Data Analytics module of the Diploma in Computer Studies.

If you would like a formal assessment and certification of your learning this can be facilitated using a short exam and assignment. There would be a small extra fee for this.

Individuals who are paying for themselves must pay by credit card at the time of booking.

All IPA courses are subject to minimum participant numbers and bookings will typically close one week prior to the course start date. This course will close two weeks prior to the start date. Early booking is recommended to secure a place.

Cancellation Policy: Please note, that in the event of a cancellation less than 48 working hours before the commencement of a course, a 15% cancellation fee will be charged. Cancellation fee will also apply to non-arrivals on the day.
