Cancellation Policy: Please note, that in the event of a cancellation less than 48 working hours before the commencement of a course, a 15% cancellation fee will be charged.  Cancellation fee will also apply to non-arrivals on the day.

Who is this for?

Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA) provides a great base for anyone who wants to start a career in IT. The course will enable participants to gain a solid foundation in computer networking and is designed for individuals who seek an introduction to networking prior to attending more advanced networking courses.

An MTA certification will qualify you for an entry-level position in the following areas: IT Security Specialist; Mobile App Developer; Website Developer; Software Engineer or Network administrator.

Course Content

Course participants will gain comprehensive knowledge and practical understanding of network infrastructures, hardware, protocols and services in order to implement and support networks. The course will cover the following eight modules:

  • Local Area Networking
  • Defining Networks with the OSI Model
  • Understanding Wired and Wireless Networks
  • Understanding Internet Protocol
  • Implementing TCP/IP in the Command Line
  • Working with Networking Services
  • Understanding Wide Area Networks
  • Defining Network Infrastructures and Network Security
Assessment

The course prepares students for the Microsoft Technology Associate Network Fundamentals Exam 98-366, which can be taken as a separate add on.
