Who is this for?

MTA Security Fundamentals course will be of benefit to those:

  • who are in an ICT position but who would like to understand the fundamentals of ICT and/or move into a security role
  • who are in an ICT security role working in an administrative or similar capacity and who wish to build on their practical experience with a formal qualification
  • who would like to enhance their current position and CV
Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of this course, participants will understand:

  • Security layers including core, physical, internet and wireless security layers;
  • Operating system security including, user authentication, permissions, password and audit policies, encryption and malware;
  • Network security including dedicated firewalls, Network Access Protection, network isolation, and protocol security; and
  • Security software including client, email and server protection
