The Institute of Public Administration (IPA), in partnership with the Department of Public Expenditure NDP Delivery and Reform (DPENDR), are facilitating a number of one-day courses for public servants who work at investigating how Artificial Intelligence (AI) could be used appropriately to transform public service delivery.

The courses offered align with the public service transformation strategy, ‘Better Public Services’ which aims to enhance service delivery through technology and digitisation, and will equip participants with the fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence (AI), as well as its potential and implications for public service organisations.

This one day workshop will run from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm at the Institute of Public Administration.  Participants will engage in a collaborative workshop to:

  • Explore existing AI use cases and understand their applications.
  • Identify potential AI applications in their own departments.
  • Develop structured use cases highlighting the benefits and ROI of AI projects.
  • Analyse and address ethical considerations and risk management strategies.

Cancellation Policy: Please note, that in the event of a cancellation less than 48 working hours before the commencement of a course, a 15% cancellation fee will be charged.  Cancellation fee will also apply to non-arrivals on the day.

  • Developing a Use Case: Defining the problem, conducting cost-benefit analysis, and presenting AI projects effectively.
  • AI Regulations: Overview of the AI Act, compliance requirements, and the role of public servants in AI strategy.
