The IPA Governance Forum is holding a special half day event Finance for Board Members of Public Bodies on Thursday, 6 July 2017. The board members of a public body must ensure that there is proper financial reporting and a system of internal financial control in place. While all board members are unlikely to be financial experts, they are collectively responsible for the production of the statutory accounts and meeting reporting and disclosure requirements. This half-day workshop will assist board members and other senior executives to understand the key concepts and issues which arise in the review of the financial reports and systems in a public interest body. This event is open to Governance Forum Members and others with an interest in the topic.
