Local Government

Current housing policy and practice present local authorities with challenges of an unprecedented nature - particularly for local authorities in implementing the Action Plan: For Housing and Homelessness.

The purpose of the Housing Policy Seminar Series is to raise awareness amongst key local authority housing staff who are involved in addressing the new housing challenges. There are four seminars in the series.  Seminars will be organised in the form of a presentation followed by a moderated discussion on general themes associated with current housing policy and practice. Discussions will be moderated by Eddie Lewis, Associate Lecturer, IPA and former Principal Officer, Department of Housing, Planning and Local Government.

This seminar series is offered as part of the National Housing Training & Development Programme [NHTDP].  See NHTDP details here.
