Understanding Company Accounts will be delivered either online via MS Teams or in person at the IPA on scheduled dates.  Please see below for details. 

This is a half day training course that starts at 10:00am and finishes at 1:00pm.

Cancellation Policy

Please note, that in the event of a cancellation less than 48 working hours before the commencement of a course, a 15% cancellation fee will be charged.  Cancellation fee will also apply to non-arrivals on the day.

Who is this for?

This Understanding Company Accounts course is specifically for those working in Debt Management Units within Irish Local Authorities.

Course Content

Understanding Company Accounts will be delivered as a three hour session. The following areas will be covered during this session: 

  • Final accounts of companies including Income and Expenditure, Assets (fixed and current), Liabilities (current and long term) and Capital.
  • Interpreting company accounts by using some best practice ratios which will enable an understanding of the profitability, management efficiency, liquidity and solvency of a business.
  • Understanding a company’s up-to-date cash flow position in order to negotiate appropriate and relevant instalment plans.
Course Leader

Understanding Company Accounts will be delivered by the Chief Executive of Irish Credit Management Training, Declan Flood, FIACP, FCICM.
