Fraud Awareness is a half-day course that will be delivered in one session (10:00am - 12:30pm). It will be remotely delivered through MS Teams and facilitated by subject matter experts.

Fee: The fee for this online course is €200 per person.

Cancellation Policy: Please note, that in the event of a cancellation less than 48 working hours before the commencement of a course, a 15% cancellation fee will be charged.  Cancellation fee will also apply to non-arrivals on the day.

Learning Outcomes

At the end of the Fraud Awareness course, participants will: 

  • have a better understanding of the Fraud Triangle.
  • gain a greater appreciation of the role of the Internal Auditor in the fight against fraud. 
  • understand the importance of carrying out fraud risk assessments. 
Course Content

The course will cover the following areas: 

  • Defining fraud  
  • Examining the Fraud Triangle and the role it plays in identifying the potential risk of fraud
  • Conducting a fraud risk assessment
  •  Importance of internal controls and the reporting of fraud
  • The level of fraud awareness within an organisation
