The Irish Aid Advisory Committee (IAAC) was requested by Ireland Aid (AI) to examine the impact its development cooperation activities are having on trade capacity building. This report contains important recommendations on how Ireland Aid might identify additional opportunities to support trade capacity and private sector development. It reflects the findings of IAAC following a review of available literature, discussions with multilaterial and bilaterial donors and a preliminary examination of three priority countries (Uganda, Lesotho and Tanzania).
