Jane is a Leadership and Management Specialist whose area of interest is in developing managers’ potential to optimise their own performance and that of their staff within organisations. She has extensive experience in developing and facilitating a range of management interventions for public sector organisations in Ireland and internationally. These include management development, people management, team building, interpersonal skills, time management and change management programmes.
Jane is Director of the Certificate in Managing Change and is a tutor on the Diploma in Healthcare Management and the Certificate in Management Development. Her main area of expertise is in the design and delivery of both single discipline and multidisciplinary leadership and management programmes for mangers in the civil service, local authorities, health services, voluntary sector and educational sector. Other strands of her work include the development of customised grade specific programmes for a number of civil service departments and agencies and a series of stepping up to management programmes for new managers.
Prior to joining the IPA Jane worked as a researcher and in the health services.
Education and Qualifications:
- B.Soc.Sc.(Hons), Dip. in Counselling Skills.
- Jane is a licensed facilitator in the Myers Briggs Type Indicator, Leadership Effectiveness Analysis, Belbin’s Team Roles Inventory, De Bono’s Six Thinking Hats and Emotional Intelligence (Bar-On EQi)
