Since joining the IPA in April 2016, Laura has worked on various research and evaluation projects. This includes contributions to the Local Government Research Series, research support for a local government boundary review and an evaluation of a participatory budgeting pilot for South Dublin County Council. Laura has also been involved in an independent review of the impact of The Atlantic Philanthropies on Government policy and practice. She graduated with a first class honours MA Society and Space from Maynooth University, and published her MA thesis on local and regional governance as a peer reviewed article in the IPA’s journal Administration.
Laura is also editor of the Local Authority Times; a publication produced by local government experts for the local government system, that provides an important tool for analysis, discussion, and dissemination on key topics. For further information please contact latimes@ipa.ie
