In conjunction with the Head of School, Denis manages the accreditation relationship with the Institute’s awarding body and prepares the annual School budgets. He is responsible, with the Head of School, for developing and implementing new policies, systems and processes. Denis lectures on the MA and US parliamentary internship programmes. He has lectured to visiting groups from universities in New York, Boston, Minnesota, Philadelphia, St. Louis and Sweden. 

He holds a BA (Hons) in English and Psychology and a PhD from Trinity College Dublin.  He has published work in The Irish Times, Poetry Ireland Review, British Haiku Journal and Ogham Stone: An Anthology of Contemporary Ireland. He co-edited, with Michael Mulreany, Lord of the Files – Working for the Government: An Anthology (2011).
