Management Development

Conflict in organisations is inevitable given the complexity in which we operate- a broad range of needs, varying styles and approaches and multiple goals to achieve. But is conflict always negative? Can conflict be something positive?

How we think about the answers will depend on our picture of and experience of conflict. Destructive conflict has negative impact on engagement, morale, culture, achievement of goals and personal development. In an era with increased focus on positive stakeholder engagement, collaborative working, enhanced performance and effective leadership, it is essential that managers and leaders master the essentials of conflict management and an ability to build constructive working environments.

This programme is about helping you to improve your understanding of conflict, your own reactions to conflict and your ability to build constructive team working environments. It will also help you identify specific ways to handle negative conflict and regain the constructive environment.
